Registry of Accessible Web Resources

This collection contains cultural heritage materials gathered during the World Digital Library (WDL) project, including thousands of items contributed by partner organizations worldwide as well as content from Library of Congress collections. The original World Digital Library site (preserved in LC’s Web Archives here) and all descriptive metadata were translated from English and made available in six additional languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese. All item records include narrative descriptions submitted by the contributing partners and enhanced by WDL researchers to contextualize the item and its cultural and historical importance. Books, manuscripts, maps, and other primary materials in the WDL collection are presented in their original languages; more than 100 languages are represented, including many lesser known and endangered languages. Additionally, all World Digital Library metadata in each of the seven languages is available as a downloadable dataset.

World Nutrition is the journal of the World Public Health Nutrition Association (WPHNA). World Nutrition is an international, peer-reviewed journal published quarterly. It aims to improve understanding of the causes and solutions to public health nutrition problems at community level. It provides content of value to nutritionists, dieticians, health workers, agricultural specialists, social scientists, students, food writers, social movement professionals, journalists, and others interested in public health nutrition or community nutrition. It is global in scope, presenting content of general interest as well as content specific to low-income or high-income settings. Its content includes editorials, original research, literature reviews, commentaries, book reviews, and letters to the editor. The journal World of Media. Journal of Russian Media and Journalism Studies (shortened – World of Media) has been published annually since 2009 by the Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University. Since 2018, the journal appears on a quaterly basis (4 times a year).

The 2024 Revision of World Population Prospects is the twenty-eighth edition of official United Nations population estimates and projections that have been prepared by the Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat. It presents population estimates from 1950 to the present for 237 countries or areas, underpinned by analyses of historical demographic trends. This latest assessment considers the results of 1,910 national population censuses conducted between 1950 and 2023, as well as information from vital registration systems and from 3,189 nationally representative sample surveys. The 2024 revision also presents population projections to the year 2100 that reflect a range of plausible outcomes at the global, regional and national levels.

The World Prison Brief is hosted by the Institute for Crime & Justice Policy Research(link is external) (ICPR), at Birkbeck(link is external), University of London. ICPR hosts and updates the World Prison Brief as part of its World Prison Research Programme. This programme, which involves collaboration with research partners, civil society organisations and policy makers, aims to inform and promote debate and policy reform through international comparative research projects, publications and civil society engagement.
