Food Chemistry Advances is a companion journal to the highly respected Food Chemistry and Food Chemistry: X. Food Chemistry Advances publishes original research and review articles on all areas of chemistry and biochemistry of foods and food-related systems.

Food Chemistry: Molecular Sciences is one of three companion journals to the highly respected Food Chemistry.

Food Chemistry: Molecular Sciences is an open access journal publishing research advancing the theory and practice of molecular sciences of foods.

The types of articles considered are original research articles, analytical methods, comprehensive reviews and commentaries.

Food Chemistry: X is one of three Open Access companion journals to the highly respected Food Chemistry and has the same aims and scope and peer-review process.

Food Chemistry X publishes papers dealing with the advancement of the chemistry and biochemistry of foods or the analytical methods/approach used. All papers should focus on the novelty of the research carried out. The assessment of the manuscripts considers a number of elements including novelty, scientific rigour, scientific advancement of a particular field and the overall interest to the readership. Research advancing the theory and practice of molecular sciences of foods or cure/prevention of human diseases will not be considered for inclusion in Food Chemistry X.

The food supply is increasing at an incredible rate as are the changes in the composition of agricultural commodities and processed foods. In addition, the scientific understanding of relationships between dietary intakes and health have accelerated placing new demands on the levels of knowledge required of foods and their components. These demands have increased the need for transparent and easily accessible information about nutrients and other food components.

USDA's food composition data resources are evolving to meet the compositional demands and the needs of an increasingly diverse user base, including researchers, policy makers, nutrition and health professionals, and product developers. This necessitated the development and release of FoodData Central in 2019. FoodData Central provides a web-based data system that is composed of five distinct types of food and nutrient composition data, each with a unique purpose and acquired with different approaches.

Food Frontiers is an open access food research journal tackling one of the current biggest challenges: sustainably achieving a global food chain. Covering all areas of food research, this extensive food science journal presents the latest science spanning food chemistry, food nutrition and function, food toxicology and safety, food authenticity, food quality and design, food engineering, food analysis, food processing/storage, food microbiology, sensory science, diets and health, food packaging, food sustainability and food policy.

The Food Production, Processing and Nutrition journal aims to provide a unique dedicated forum for publication of the highest quality and novel contributions in the field. Both fundamental research and applied areas are of interest and these extend to food production with respect to variety improvement and selection as well as green processing. Food safety, elimination of contaminants, and retention of nutrients and bioactive components that play a role in health promotion of consumers, are important aspects that will be covered. The journal publishes articles that deal with topics on food production and processing from farm to fork, and their influence on nutrition and health. Production technologies, absorption, bioavailability and personalized nutrition with consideration of gut microbiota are also of interest to the journal. Results may be communicated in the form of original research and reviews.

Food Quality and Safety is an open access, international, peer-reviewed journal providing a platform to highlight emerging and innovative science and technology in the agro-food field, publishing up-to-date research in the areas of food quality and safety, food nutrition and human health. It promotes food and health equity which will consequently promote public health and combat diseases.

Food Research is an Open Access journal that publishes reviews, original research articles and short communications focusing on food science and technology, food service management, nutrition, nutraceuticals, food innovation, and agriculture food science.

Food Science & Nutrition is an open access journal enabling the rapid dissemination of fundamental and applied research related to all aspects of food science and nutrition, as well as interdisciplinary research that spans these two fields. We believe that all research, so long as it is evidence-based and factually correct, deserves a forum to be read and commented upon. We therefore strive to be an author-friendly journal welcoming all contributions of sound science.
