Multicultural Shakespeare is an international journal devoted to Shakespearean studies; it is a forum in which researchers, especially those from non-English-speaking backgrounds, can air local concerns and themes that contribute to the creation and understanding of Shakespeare as global phenomenon. Initially devoted mainly to translations, Multicultural Shakespeare developed into a publication mediating vigorous discussions on the adaptation of Shakespeare’s texts, their ontology and cross-cultural significance. It created an opportunity to present the universal dimension of Shakespeare’s works by focusing on their local values found in the cultures of Australia, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA.

The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL), through its Executive Council and the Engineering Sciences and Technology Division, has expressed optimism and urgency for the Senate of the Philippines to pass the proposed Philippine Building Act (PBA) during the current 3rd Regular Session of the 19th Congress. The Act, which aims to increase the resilience of buildings that are newly proposed or existing against multiple hazards, will consolidate Senate Bills 1181, 1467, and 1970, and HBT 8500 as approved last year by the House of Representatives.
